How the daily challenge works

Every day, Building Guessr picks five buildings from its database of 945 and serves the same five to everyone. The selection is generated from the date itself, so there is no server deciding what you see — your browser and every other player’s browser independently arrive at the identical set. That is what makes these scores comparable: nobody gets an easier draw.

The daily always runs at medium difficulty: thirty seconds per building, no hints for the first ten seconds, and no difficulty multiplier applied to the result.

How a score is built

Each of the five rounds is worth up to 1,800 points, so a flawless daily is 9,000.

About this board

Posting a score is entirely optional — the game never sends anything unless you tick the box and press Submit on the final screen. There are no accounts: you choose a nickname, and your browser keeps a random identifier so it can post at most one score per day.

The board resets at midnight in your own time zone, because the daily set does too. Yesterday’s scores stop appearing here but the day’s summary is kept for the community stats page.

This is a friendly board, not a competitive one. Scores come from players’ own browsers and are checked only for plausibility, so treat the top of the board as entertainment rather than an official record. Nicknames that break the terms of service are removed.
